Sat. June 6th- ALL-DAY  Summer Reading Program- KICK-OFF EVENT! All Kids ages 5-14 -  Come in and sign-up to read for cool prizes each week! Kids of all  ages can stop-in to make a super-hero mask at our all-day craft event! (Sign-up for the incentive reading  element of our program ends July 11th, so if you can’t 
make it on this day in you can still sign-up any time!)                    
      
EVENT #1- Fri. June 12th@ 10:30 am- “Readers are Super!” – Ronald McDonald is coming to entertain with a Super-Fun  inter-active show for all ages! Wear your super-hero costumes! Parents: Bring your cameras for photos with Ronald McDonald !                                               
       
EVENT #2- Weds. June 24th@ 1pm- Bob’s Magic Show!  “Heroes Love Reading!”- Heroes come to life through this exciting MAGIC SHOW bringing out the hero in all of us! 
         
EVENT #3- Weds. July 8th @ 1pm.-  “Bee A Hero!”  - Welcome Master Gardener David Austin presenting his very special program on Earth’s Most Important Insect Super-Heroes: Honeybees! Live Bees!  Followed by the film: “Bee Movie” ©Disney
        
SUPER EVENT #4- Weds. July 15th @ 2 pm- The one, the only, the amazing, “JiggleMan” Part juggler, part genius, part mime, part CRAZY, 100% Hilarious! Don’t miss this very unique and super-special performer! A show you will always remember!  
                                                 
Event #5- FINAL EVENT PARTY! - Thurs. July 23rd @ 12:30pm Fireman Super Celebration!                                                                   
Fireman Hero Story-time, Real Firemen and Firetruck! Real firemen heroes teach fire safety, fire safety short-film,Our own  Lake Placid firemen give demonstrations of special Fire-fighting equipment!   Firetruck tour!  Plus!: Kids Fire-hat craft! Free Refreshments! Followed movie. Please call library for name and movie rating.

Participants age 5-13 register and sign their “reading     contract” to be eligible for weeklyincentives! Registration deadline is June 27th.
Participants will have the opportunity to take a picture and let the library know what they want to be when they grow up; coloring and activity pages will be available, they can vote for their favorite hero, and participate in a
Library-wide Villain Scavenger hunt!

Make your own Hero!
We will begin the event with story time, including songs, and then children will complete a word search and      crossword puzzle for “Super Power Vitamins.” Then     Children will be given a mask and cape to decorate and the movie “Hercules”© Disney will follow.

Local Heroes!
Sebring Fire Department is coming to soak you with knowledge! The big red fire engine will be here and story time will follow then we will wind down with  the movie “Firehouse Dog.” ©Regency 
July 9th @ 1pm
“Bee” a natural Hero!
Bodacious Beekeeper David Austen is bringing some of his hero friends! We will fly in to a bee movie after his presentation.
July 24th @ 12pm
Super Hero Training Academy!
Bring your mask and cape from the “Make Your Own Hero” event or feel free to come in costume and complete your training to become a member of the Super Library-Hero League! Name the Super Hero activity then fill out the Super Hero ID Card and make your way through all obstacles testing super abilities.  @ 2:30pm “Big Hero 6” ©Disney will follow the festivities.

Didgeridoo Down-Under Program “is a high-energy,  Australia-themed show that combines music, culture, science, literacy development, puppetry, comedy,      character building and audience participation. It’s     interactive, educational, motivational and highly        entertaining ... a one-of-a-kind "edu-tainment"            experience. You’ll learn about Aussie culture, animals and more, all while moving & grooving to the pulsing rhythms of the didge!  For all ages.”
