Are you wanting to give back to the community. Pastor Sean from Placid Temple Church of God is organizing a back to school backpack giveaways. All you need to do is drop off a backpack at the following locations: Windows and Walls 64 Tower St., Functional Rehab Inc 123 US 27 S, Cheff Buddies 381 East Interlake Blvd., and Lake Placid News Journal 231 North Main Ave., and Sweet Frog on US 27.
On Aug. 9th from 3pm-8pm there will be an event at LPHS Football Field. The event will include free food, free backpacks, live music, and guest speakers.
