My Cinderella

Moore Performing Arts, Inc. presents My Cinderella- A Porch Play Production. Champion for Children Circle Theatre performances will be Sunday May 4th and Monday May 5th at 6:00 PM. 
My Cinderella is a musical concert following the traditional Cinderella storyline in Act 1 and a second story line of love found between Stepsister Jacqueline and a local Baker in Act 2. The book was co- written by Rachel A. Moore and Christopher M. Hayes II. My Cinderella uses modern songs like Umbrella by Rhianna and Firework by Katy Perry with edited lyrics to tell the story that’s designed promote positive self-esteem. The show is appropriate for all ages. There will be an intermission with a brief presentation by Drug Free Highlands and the Sweet Shop will be open for business. Cast members will also be sharing on the issue of self-esteem.
The cast is a very talented group of actors and singers who all reside in Highlands County. Cinderella is played by Michelle Cathey. The Stepmother and Stepsisters are played by Martile Blackman, Amanda Bates and Stephanie Wortinger. Prince Charming and the Baker are played by Kendall Oneheiser and Christopher Bates. The Fairy Godmother is Tracy Vega and the 3 mice are played by Aidan Fontana, Lyric Moore and Tristen Cathey. The Producers/Director are Larry & Rachel Moore, the Musical Director is Christopher M. Hayes II, the Art Director is Rachel Hayes and the Stage Manager is Lexi Siegal. All of the cast members have behind the scenes jobs as well.
The idea for Porch Play Productions came both from Larry & Rachel Moore’s daughter, Lyric Moore, who created and produced her first play The Last Apple at age 4 on their front porch and a conversation between friends, The Moore’s and Christopher and Rachel Hayes, who found they wanted to create a performance team that put on musical plays for families. Moore Performing Arts, Inc. has created and produced several major productions in the past and now they are moving into a new season of streamline creativity...Porch Plays, where every play the group creates will be launched from the porch of a house.
A Porch Launch of My Cinderella will be held the Sunday prior to the Circle Theatre performances for a private audience of supporters.
