Heartland Cultural Alliance

Drawing Kid's Class

August 19, 2016
In June and July, the Heartland Cultural Alliance provided 90 minute kid's pencil drawing classes by the international award winning artist Beverly Marshall. Each class focussed on developing specific techniques that assisted the children in teaching them how to draw quickly. Students also learned different methods in shading with pencil and the importance of light and dark areas in a drawing.

Upcoming Class: Drawing for Children by Beverly Marshall is now taking reservations for the five weeks, Saturday course that starts August 13. Class size limited to 12. To reserve space contact Gail (863) 314-8882, Email, Classes@HeartlandCulturalAlliance.org

On our drive home after every class, my almost 11 year old would always explain to me with so much excitement and enthusiasm all she had learned and done. It was moving for me as her mom to hear the thrill and how proud she was of what she had drawn.

I want to thank Fred Leavitt from the Heartland Cultural Alliance for giving my daughter the opportunity to take Ms. Beverly Marshall's class. She completely LOVED the experience. She has not put down the sketching pad Beverly gave to her on the last day of class.

Beverly Marshall, thank you for providing my daughter with an experience she will never forget. She is now looking forward to the fair and submitting a drawing. :)
