Brewster's Coffee House Upcoming Fundraiser

October 9, 2015
Have you heard of Brewster's Coffee House. The owner Bruce Rogers opened his first coffee house in Sebring in August 2006. I have some fond memories of going to his first location with some girlfriends of mine. My oldest was just a few months old.

Bruce has done a lot for the community. He has donated coffee to events that I've been involved in. There were times that he also donated gift cards for me to give as door prizes. His place of business has been used for Bible studies, concerts, and other events.

I'm sure I'm not the only individual in this community to have been blessed by Bruce and his generous heart. It's time for the community to step up and support him like he has supported us. Bruce is struggling financially. He is on the verge of having to close down the coffee house. Bruce has been struggling for a long time now to keep his business opened. He has not wanted to let the community know about his situation. Laura Ware and I are informing the community of his situation.

For a few months now I've been struggling with receiving enough sponsorship for the father and daughter dance. I posted on FB what was going on and what happened I did not expect. Individuals that I do not even know started sharing my post. People were contacting me about wanting information so they may forward it to business owners that they know. I received a check last night.

There are some issues with living in a small community. But I want to let you guys know something. There are so many more benefits to living in a small community. People step up and help those around them. There are so many stories that I could share about you guys and everything you guys have done for your fellow Highlands County neighbor. It's time to help Bruce now. He has not asked me to do this. My girlfriend and I went to his business last night and told him we wanted to help.

Guys, we need to help small businesses. They are the fabric of our country. Lets show Bruce how much we appreciate him and everything he has done for the community.
